Location: The Cathedral Church of St. James, 106 King St E, Toronto
Description: Christian & Kelvin marked their wedding day at The Cathedral Church of St. James, one of Toronto's most iconic Gothic Revival landmarks. The floral palette - ivory, soft blue, and sage green - was chosen to complement the cathedral's stone architecture without competing with it.
Ceremony arrangements were tucked into the church's pointed-arch alcoves. At the reception, long communal tables were dressed with eucalyptus runners accented by cream roses and blue delphinium, anchored by low glass bowl centerpieces of blue hydrangea and ivory roses. The wedding cake table was styled with a loose floral garland to complete the look.
Colour Scheme: Ivory and soft blue with sage-green eucalyptus and navy accents.
Objective: To design a cohesive full-suite wedding package complementing the Gothic grandeur of a historic Toronto cathedral.
Flower Types: Cream roses, blue hydrangea, blue delphinium, astrantia, eucalyptus, and seasonal greenery.
Arrangements:
- 2 ceremony vase arrangements in the cathedral's Gothic stone alcoves, featuring ivory roses, white and blue hydrangea, and greenery.
- 5 eucalyptus table runners with 50 cream roses and 20 blue delphinium stems woven throughout.
- 4 small bridesmaids' bouquets and 5 boutonnieres in the ivory-and-blue palette.
