Location: The Archeo, 31 Trinity St, Toronto
Description: This July wedding took place at The Archeo, a room of exposed brick, warm wood, and crossback chairs in Toronto’s Distillery District. The couple asked for a classic, clean, romantic, timeless look in white and green. We designed it to stand out against the warm tones of the room and to look refined up close at the table.
Instead of a few large centrepieces, we made 72 clear glass bud vases in assorted shapes and spread them along the long dining tables, so the flowers followed the table and left the sightlines open. Two large wine barrel arrangements gave the room its fuller moments. For the wedding party we made a bouquet, boutonnieres, and corsages from the same white flowers and greenery.
Colour Scheme: White and green.
Objective: To create a timeless white and green floral suite that works from a bud vase on the table to a full arrangement on a wine barrel.
Flower Types: White roses and mini roses, ranunculus, lisianthus, snapdragons and stock, chrysanthemums, limonium, wax flower, baby’s breath, Queen Anne’s lace, blue eucalyptus, ruscus, and pittosporum.
Arrangements:
- Bridal bouquet – a classic white and green hand-tied bouquet.
- 4 boutonnieres – white blooms with baby’s breath and eucalyptus.
- 2 corsages – white roses with baby’s breath and greenery.
- 72 bud vases – clear glass in assorted shapes, with white line flowers, limonium, and greenery.
- 2 large wine barrel arrangements – about 20–24" tall and wide, with roses, ranunculus, snapdragons, Queen Anne’s lace, and eucalyptus.
